Is it alright for your boyfriend to cheat on you and then want you back?
It's not alright for your boyfriend to cheat on you. Whether you take him back is up to you, but the fact that you're asking suggests you already know it doesn't feel right.
Cheating is a choice. It's not something that just happens. If your boyfriend cheated on you and now wants you back, the question isn't really whether he wants you back. It's whether anything has actually changed. Is he sorry because he got caught, or sorry because he understands what he did? There's a big difference.
Some people do get past cheating. It's possible. But it takes genuine effort from the person who cheated, not just saying sorry and expecting things to go back to normal. If the apology doesn't come with changed behaviour, it's just words.
It's also worth thinking about how you'd feel going forward. Would you trust him? Would you spend your time worrying about what he's doing? If the answer is yes, that's not a relationship that's going to make you happy.
