Why is sex so popular in relationships?
Sex is popular in relationships because it feels good and it brings people closer together.
Physically, it's pleasurable. Emotionally, it creates a kind of closeness that's different from anything else. Your body releases during sex that make you feel bonded to the other person. So it's not just about the physical side. It makes people feel connected in a way that's hard to get from anything else.
There's also a biological element. Humans are wired to want sex. That drive is part of how we're built, and being with someone you trust and are attracted to tends to make it stronger.
Not every relationship revolves around sex though, and not everyone wants it. That's normal too.
