Why is the amount of women who want to try light bondage so high?
Interest in light bondage is more common than a lot of people expect, and it's not just women. Surveys consistently show that a significant number of people of all genders are curious about it or have tried it.
There are a few reasons it appeals to people. Light bondage (things like being blindfolded, tied up, or having your hands held down) is about trust, anticipation, and playing with control in a safe and consensual way. Not being able to see or move can heighten other senses and make physical sensations feel more intense. For some people, handing over control to someone they trust is exciting. For others, being the one in control is what they enjoy.
Media has also played a part. Books and films like Fifty Shades of Grey brought the idea into the mainstream and made people more willing to talk about it openly. That doesn't mean the interest wasn't there before, just that more people feel comfortable admitting it now.
