What would you say is the right age to have sex?
There's no single right age to have sex. It's different for everyone.
The legal in the UK is 16. That's the point at which the law says you can make that decision for yourself. But 16 isn't a target, and turning 16 doesn't mean you should be having sex. It just means you legally can.
Beyond the law, it's more about whether you feel ready than how old you are. Some people feel ready at 16. Some don't feel ready until much later. Both are normal. There's no deadline.
A few things worth asking yourself: do you actually want to, or do you just feel like you should? Do you trust the person? Can you talk to them about what you're comfortable with and what you're not? Do you know how to protect yourself from and ?
If the answer to any of those is no, you're probably not ready yet, and that's fine. There's no rush.
